raz-0
Saw this article on digg, and thought it sounded like a good technique to attack some of the more long-term/stubborn goals one has. http://lifehacker.com/software/motivation/...cret-281626.php

SiG Lady
I keep a similar calendar-based checklist of physical exercises and learning tasks on my desk... where I check off the stuff I do each day that I consider essential or building TOWARD something. I can thusly see what I skip (or tend to skip) and be able to analyze why or whether I'm getting anywhere with them. I've occasionally deleted or added things to the daily list that were unproductive or more productive, respectively. It's also amazing to note how easy it is to skip something for nearly a week if you're not careful. I guess you call this cumulative self-monitoring... but it does work. I'm still refining MY list and my approach to it. It IS a matter of self-mastery and motivation--nothing more, nothing less.
Flexmoney
I've employed those monthly desktop calendars for exercise and such. Making the big X does look like a chain. I've home-made some other calendars (poster board and grid lines.) Very good idea...especially for the visually motivated. Where can we get a year long calendar like he speaks of? rwmagnus
Flex I get all y stuff from http://www.ataglance.com While a year at a glance might be nice a month at a time is good for me. They do have laminated versions, I use a desk pad style.
