norbs007
#4 is Chocolat, actress is Juliette Binoche. Can't recall the answer to the bonus question, but that's what I'm guessing my answer from.
Duane Thomas
#4 is Chocolat, actress is Juliette Binoche. Half right.
Duane Thomas
Guys, again, if you're going to post an answer, I need the name of the movie AND the name of the actor/actress. Also, answers like, "It might be this or something like this," aren't going to make it.
Duane Thomas
So far dsb45acp and Lighteye67 are tied with one apiece. The answers to 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and all the Bonus Points still up for grabs.
norbs007
#4 is Chocolat, actress is Juliette Binoche. Half right. Okay, Chocolat and Johnny Depp. Wifey said that Roux's favorite is hot chocolate.
bufit323
The bonus for #2, assuming that you mean the very last words, spoken during or after the credits I believe Ferris says: "You're still here? The movie's over, go home." That makes 8 words if the contractions are correct. ETA: Number 10 sounds like something the Kevin Costner (Crash) said to Tim Robbins (Nuke) in Bull Durham. I can't recall precisely though, so I may be off a bit. Edited June 13, 2007 by bufit323
Duane Thomas
Okay, Chocolat and Johnny Depp. Half right. You might consider watching the movie. I can tell you right now it's not one of the "name" actors - just the one who got the best line. Wifey said that Roux's favorite is hot chocolate. Correct on the Bonus Point. Duane Thomas
"You're still here? The movie's over, go home." Close. Number 10 sounds like something the Kevin Costner (Crash) said to Tim Robbins (Nuke) in Bull Durham. Nope.

bufit323
"You're still here? The movie's over, go home." Close. Ok, if I might adjust my answer, upon further thought I think that it is: "Are you still here? It's over, go home."
Duane Thomas
Ok, if I might adjust my answer, upon further thought I think that it is:"Are you still here? It's over, go home." I would say the first person who actually watches the movie is going to get this one.
Duane Thomas
These quote games are always hard. Someone always takes the numbers that I KNOW before I get to them (2+9). #9 is still up for grabs, if you know the movie and the two folks talking. Nemo
What Ferris actually says is: "You're still here? It's over. Go home. Go!" Duane, I believe number 10 is from Amanda Peet's character in the movie "A Lot Like Love".

Duane, I believe number 10 is from Amanda Peet's character in the movie "A Lot Like Love". Nemo has two correct. At this point Nemo is out in front with two correct. John Tuley
#6 is Bruce Campbell in Bubba Ho-Tep. Very underrated movie, and I highly recommend anybody who hasn't seen it do so. [Edit @ 1356]: #8 is Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge (assuming my spelling is correct ... is it legal/necessary to check?). Ravengbc
Brad pitt's character died? I though Morgan Freeman had him carted off to jail... Thats right Brad Pitt killed Kevin Spacey. (I think) That is correct. Pitt killed Spacey. They drove out to a field that Spacey led them to where Pitt got a delivery of his wife's head in a box. Spacey killing Pitt's wife represented envy. And Pitt killing Spacey represented wrath. Pitt did not die. Freeman did have him arrested and right before having him taken off to jail I believe he told another office to take care of him. As far as the number above the pictures. geez. I'd have to pull the movie off my shelf and watch it again. It is a great movie. Given that it has been several years since i last watched it, i would probably guess that the number is 5. Good day all.

Duane Thomas
Okay, at the finish line Nemo has Won a Book! Just PM Brian with your shipping address and he'll get it out to you. Here is the Answer Key. BTW, as you'll all note, the answer to #3 is not Se7en. 1. Practically perfect people never allow sentiment to muddle their thinking. ANSWER: Julie Andrews, Mary Poppins, 1964. BONUS POINT: Who plays two characters in this film, including the only one who dies? ANSWER: Dick Van Dyke. 2. You wear too much eye makeup. My sister wears too much. People think she's a whore. ANSWER: Charlie Sheen, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 1986. BONUS POINT: What are the last eight words spoken in this movie? ANSWER: "You're still here? It's over. Go home. Go." 3. It is embarrassing to see grown men run from their responsibilities. It is like seeing your parents drunk for the first time. They are afraid. To be a psychiatrist in this country is to be an expert on paranoia - whether you meant to be or not. Why aren't you afraid? I'm sorry....do I look like an man of courage to you? ANSWER: Max von Sydow & Stephen Rea, Citizen X, 1995. BONUS POINT: What is the highest number we see on pictures of murder victims in this film? ANSWER: 36. 4. Listen, here's what I think: I think we can't go around measuring our goodness by what we don't do - by what we deny ourselves, what we resist, and who we exclude. I think we've got to measure goodness by what we embrace, what we create, and who we include. ANSWER: Hugh O'Conor, Chocolat, 2000. BONUS POINT: What was Roux's favorite? ANSWER: Hot chocolate. 5. I admire you, Donald, you know? I spent my whole life paralyzed, worrying about what people think of me. And you - you're just oblivious. I'm not oblivious. No, you don't understand. I mean that as a compliment. There was this time in high school, I was watching you out the library window. You were talking to Sarah Marsh. Oh God, I was so in love with her. I know. And you were flirting with her, and she was being really sweet to you. I remember that. And then, when you walked away, she started making fun of you with Kim Canetti. And it was like they were laughing at me. You didn't know at all? You seemed so happy. I knew. I heard them. Well, how come you were so happy? I loved Sarah, Charles. It was mine, that love. I owned it. Even Sarah didn't have the right to take it away. I can love whoever I want. But she thought you were pathetic. [Laughs] That was her business, not mine. You are what you love, not what loves you. That's what I decided a long time ago. ANSWER: Nicolas Cage & Nicolas Cage, Adaptation, 2002. BONUS POINT: What is name of the screenplay Donald writes? ANSWER: The 3. 6. In the movies I always played heroic types. But when the stage lights went out, it was time for drugs and stupidity and the coveting of women. Now it's time. Time to be a little of what I'd always fantasized bein': a hero. ANSWER: Bruce Campbell, Bubba Ho-Tep, 2002. BONUS POINT: Name the two people Jack makes the main character swear he never knew. ANSWER: Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald. 7. I will do whatever you want. How many times have you heard a woman say that and really mean it? ANSWER: Nicole Kidman, The Human Stain, 2003. BONUS POINT: What is in the two golden boxes this woman keeps under her bed? ANSWER: Her children's ashes. 8. Love conquers all. Every cloud has a silver lining. Faith can move mountains. Love will always find a way. Everything happens for a reason. Where there's life, there's hope. Heh. Oh well....they gotta tell ya something. ANSWER: Charlize Theron, Monster, 2003. BONUS POINT: What is the last song that plays as the credits roll? Name the song and group. ANSWER: "Don't Stop Believin'", Journey. 9. This is weird. Your download manager says you pulled some photos off the net, but I can't find them. Gosh, that's strange. Yeah. A smart guy doesn't leave photos on his computer because that's the first place the cops are gonna look. And you're into mementos. So where do you put the stuff that you pull off the net, hm? Do you have a special little hiding place or something? I live alone. Why would I need a hiding place? Just what I've been wondering. I have looked through your whole house. Everything. And I have found no porn. I have not found a single...bit...of porn. And I mean, guys tend to have porn around, don't they? Nothing against it, nothing against them, it's just the way they're brought up. But seriously, if a guy knows he can get away with it, all guys, they have porn at least somewhere in their crib. You've done studies on this, of course. Then I was thinking...that these photos on his wall, maybe those are his porn. But I bet they're not your stroke shots. I bet whatever you have is so juicy it needs its own little cubbyhole. Isn't that right, Jeff? ANSWER: Ellen Page & Patrick Wilson, Hard Candy, 2005. BONUS POINT: What was the combination to the safe? Give the three numbers. ANSWER: 3-19-89. 10. If you're not willing to sound stupid, you don't deserve to be in love. ANSWER: Amanda Peet, A Lot Like Love, 2005. BONUS POINT: What were the main male character's "three strikes"? ANSWER: She had to make the first move, he didn't play the guitar, he was born under the wrong sign.
Duane Thomas
Well, looking at the not-exactly-overwhelming number of answers tendered this month, it's obvious to me that I've been going too obscure on the quotes. I didn't think I was, but obviously I was. The next time I do this, the quotes will all be action adventure "guy flicks." Promise.
