I would note that sports internet sites spell his name Horning but Wikipedia says Hornung. -- Got to be a story there. Everyone knows that Paul's last season was 1966, AND Green Bay was equipped by Converse. That's what happens when you let art majors design something... Sestock Posted May 5, 2007 Share Posted May 5, 2007 Not that far out of place. The field has the Louisville Baseball HOF and Paul Hornung was an all-everything athlete in HS in Louisville. If he hadn't went to Notre Dame to play football he could have been an All-Star in the MLB or NBA. He is widely considered the best all-around athlete in Notre Dame history.
