wiztech
I just bought a Para P14-45 LDA with some chewed up hicap mags that need repair. What replacement tubes will fit, which are best and what's the best price & source? Thanks.
jhgtyre
If you have old, worn out, hi-caps you can buy replacement Para tubes at The Para Pro Shop. -jhgtyre

alcornl
To add to this. Does anyone use the sti replacement tubes with a para? If so, I use dawson base pads, will they work with the sti tubes? Any problems with the sti tubes to avoid? Thanks
lynn jones
alcornl, when i used a para, the sti mags were the best. extra rounds and better reliablity. the dawson pads work great also. good luck lynn
alcornl
do you use the dawson para base pads or the dawson sti base pads? Also, do you need the sti followers or do the para ones work? Thanks again.
IPSC CHIK1
for GENUINE Para Ordnance hi caps go to Dawson Precision, he bought up a warehouse full before the ban. and he charges only $10 more than the pre ban price, which is about what the price would have gone up anyway. alcornl
The reason I was asking is because I have GENUINE para high caps and after a few thousand rounds, the followers start to stick and the slide lock starts to not work. Not a big problem in ipsc, but I also use the gun for idpa and I was just looking for something to replace my worn out para high caps with. I was just trying to find out what I need to use the sti tubes. I have heard that they were better, but since I have just spent a lot of money converting all of my old mags to dawson basepads, I wanted to know if the sti tubes need dawsons sti basepads or the dawson para base pads. Thanks again for your help
lynn jones
alcornl, sti followers and dawson sti base pads.
IPSC CHIK1
the slide not locking open IS the mag follower being chewed up. STI mags require STI followers. for your Para mags just get Para followers from Brownells. and the STI mags use different Dawson pads than the Para mags.
