ruready
I can't seem to find any load data for these bullet. I just started reloading and a friend of mine gave me a box of 200gr round nose copper in .45 made by West Coast Bullet. Are these bullets that obsolete? All I can find data for are either 200gr SWC or 230 FMJ's.

BBunin
No, they're current. I have a box on my bench right now. I use them with about 4.5g of 231 as a Steel challenge load.
markwilliston
I'm using 4.9gr titegroup at 1.240 for my practice load with those bullets.
ruready
I'm using 4.9gr titegroup at 1.240 for my practice load with those bullets. Thanks. I just tried this load. After weighing in, the powder only fills about 1/4 of the case. Is that correct? Just wanna make sure.
Singlestack
Anybody got a link to West Coast Bullets or a dealer?
markwilliston
I'm not at home right now so I don't have the specific numbers. But I think you will find the max load for 200gr bullet with titegroup is 5.2 somewhere in there with a much shorter OAL. Here is the Hogdon page: http://www.hodgdon.com/data/pistol/45acp.php Mark
ruready
Anybody got a link to West Coast Bullets or a dealer? I think West Coast bullets is no longer in business. They are now called X-treme bullets Mark, I just tried shooting your load data out of a Kimber 5" and it was sweet and accurate. Thanks for sharing Bbunin, As soon as I can get a hold of a 231, I'll try it. Thanks
