smokshwn
So sorry to hear that Dan. I lost my little springer a couple of years ago (hips just wouldn't do the job any more). They truly are our best friends. Take care, Craig

sfinney
18 years, wow - I'm sure that he had a great life, so hold on to the good memories. We just lost our 9 year old Boxer suddenly last weekend (just died in his sleep, but he had been fighting arthritis, a couple other minor things, and had put on weight)), and it really sucks; I sympathize with you. BEDELLCUSTOM
thanks to everyone for the responses. This was the first time for me to have to put my own dog down and it's tougher than I imagined. He was a great companion for many years and believe it or not he even liked Paul Whitacre, last time Paul was here Bud began attacking him while Paul tried to eat his ice cream and of course Bud brought Chip the beagle along as backup!! BEDELLCUSTOM
thanks again everyone. My wife and I never had kids so our dogs filled that gap and it's nice to see that all of you can understand and have pets yourself or have gone through the same loss. Hey QuicksDraw!
Dan I am so sorry for your loss. My wife and I have no children as well so we are mommy and daddy to a miniature poodle named Pepe. They become true members of the family. Remember the good times.
