Picked up a new one. The Colt is going to have some work done on it at some point in the future so is put up for now.

Trojan 9mm

Dawson 10rnd Mags with no-gap basepads (5 total)

Dawson Ice magwell- with gap, arched housing

ISMI 9lb recoil spring

ISMI 17lb mainspring

Ed Brown mag release with button

VZ Operator 2 grips -grey

Rig:

Double Alpha Belt (34 inner belt and 40 outer belt)

Comptac OWB holster

Comptac single mag holders- 5 total

Arredondo belt keeper- blue (was iffy on buying this, but I actually like it)

200 round through the gun with Atlanta Arms 147gr Minor PF, all flawless through 5 dawson mags and sti mag.

Have to say, this gun feels incredible to shoot, granted this is my first 9mm. Everything else I own is 40s&w and .45 for handguns. Will run my first mini match in a week once my new order of 1000 rounds from Atlanta Arms comes.

STI/ Caspian

Schuemann bull

Other cool stuff...

Started with a blank canvas and had Frank Glenn in Phoenix do his thing. I was specific in that I wanted Dane Burns to machine his "Wave" into the strap/MSH.

I have probably 300 rounds thru this since it's completion. I simply don't have time to shoot. It sits next to my bed...waiting to fend off the onslaught of emo-nerds that acost my house in hopes of swooning my teenager. :sight:

Wynn's deal was just way to good to pass on.

Yeah, I almost talked myeslf into buying his Kimber Stainless Target 9mm from the same email.

In fact, that's what stirred up the old thought process and motivated me to call Bobby Keigans for a new 9mm 1911. (Which I'd been planning to do for well over a year anyway.)

I do have a full size SA Loaded <50 rounds thru her that I am willing to part with.

My gun budget is pretty well blown for a while.

Back in '05 the boys at Wilson screwed up with shipping my family heirloom Colt Combat Commander and lost it... well, the frame, anyway.

I decided to build a new bottom end and ordered a GI-spec Essex, but got a little carried away before it was all done. Barrel and beavertail are Ed Brown, hammer is Caspian, and the other small parts are Wilson. At the time bobtails were just starting to show up, and they were all cut straight and pretty sharp. These pics don't show it well but I really worked hard to blend it into a nice round butt.

The grips are ebony from Ahrends; they have so many coats of hand-rubbed clear lacquer on them that they look plastic.

Original parts are the slide, the slide stop, firing pin, FP stop, and the thumb safety. The other remaining Colt parts I have stored, and when I build a new gun for myself one part from the box goes in it. This way my lost gun becomes several new ones!

I also flush-cut the slide stop pin and high-cut the front strap under the triggerguard. I have really big hands so I practically cut it square so I could get as high up as possible. The sight cuts I had Wilson do.
