Chris Keen
Talk about keeping it in the family ........ all they need now is to find another Van Halen to sing! (Hey Eddie ...... I'm not busy this summer - hint, hint) http://www.therockradio.com/2007/01/van-ha...-in-summer.html Tuesday, January 09, 2007 Van Halen will be on the road this year, although the band's singer is still unknown. That confirmation is from a source directly in the Van Halen camp -- publicist Janie Liszewski, who is also rumored to be guitarist Eddie Van Halen's girlfriend. Liszewski has worked as a publicist in the adult movie industry, and in an interview posted in the Adult Video News website at avn.com, she said, "I am so excited to be given the opportunity to work with such a legendary musical force and look forward to going on the road this summer. Obviously, this is a dream come true in many capacities." There are very strong indications that original frontman David Lee Roth could be returning to Van Halen for the tour, including Eddie's challenging Roth in a recent interview, but no one has gone on record yet. For now, the lineup officially includes Eddie on guitar and keyboards, his brother Alex Van Halen on drums, and Eddie's 15-year-old son Wolfgang on bass. Liszewski reportedly met Van Halen while she was doing publicity for the movie Sacred Sin, which featured his music on the soundtrack. But she no longer works in porn, saying, "This new venture does not allow me to do publicity in adult any longer." j2fast
and Eddie's 15-year-old son Wolfgang on bass. I read an article a week or two ago where Eddie said the Wolfgang is breathing new life into him an Alex by kicking their ass musically during practice and in the studio. If Roth really does come back and they can coexist for at least this year I'd love to see them in concert again. Last time I saw them play was one of the years with Hagar back some where around '93, '94??
Chris Keen
I saw them 2 or 3 years ago in Columbus, Ohio (yuck) but I was so far away from them I couldnt tell exactly who the lead singer was
EricW
Will Eddie *live* until the summer? That guy really looks like ham on shit these days. I found my 5150 album not too long ago with Eddie on the cover. Nobody should age that badly in 20 some odd years. j2fast
I saw them 2 or 3 years ago in Columbus, Ohio (yuck) but I was so far away from them I couldnt tell exactly who the lead singer was Hell, I didn't even remember they've toured that recently.... Here's the blurb I read, it's from Eddie talking to Guitar World. Guess we'll see what shakes out. Eddie Van Halen spoke to Guitar World magazine about the current status of VAN HALEN following the departures of vocalist Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony. Rumors continue to swirl that original singer David Lee Roth, who was replaced by Hagar in the mid-1980s, will return to the fold, despite years of enmity. Roth, who has recently worked as a radio DJ and a paramedic, told Billboard.com in May that he saw it "absolutely as an inevitability." "I'm telling Dave, 'Dude, get your ass up here and sing, bitch! Come on!'" Eddie told Guitar World. "As it stands right now, the ball is in Dave's court. Whether he wants to rise to the occasion is entirely up to him, but we're ready to go." Eddie has brought his 15-year-old son, Wolfgang, into VAN HALEN as the veteran rock band's new bass player. Father and son, along with Eddie's drummer brother Alex, have been rehearsing for a 2007 tour. "Wolfgang breathes new life into what we're doing," said Eddie. "He brings youthfulness to something that's inherently youthful. He's only been playing bass for three months, but it's spooky. He's locked tight and puts an incredible spin on our shit. The kid is kicking my ass! He's spanking me now, even though I never spanked him. To have my son follow in my footsteps on his own, without me pushing him into it, is the greatest feeling in the world."
Chris Keen
He's only been playing bass for three months, but it's spooky. That's funny .............. I've only been singing for 3 hours now, but I think I can hang with 'em. Come on Eddie, you B*#CH - the ball is in your court. Come and jam with me! The last time a couple of years ago at the nutter center, there was a guy wearing a shirt from the previous farewell tour. Was that you chris? j2fast
If VH does get their crap together long enough to tour one more time I'll likely drop the cash no matter what the cost. OK, to a point; no kids and they can't have the dogs..... Seeing VH this year would have made the summer complete. Already got tickets to see The Police in Hershey, PA and Genesis in Pittsburgh. There's not many things as sweet as Phil Collins and Chester Thompson pounding out dueling drum solos. The last time I saw them was in the late 80's at the now flattened Three Rivers Stadium in the Burgh. Back on topic, holy crap Eddie sure looks better since he got out of rehab. http://www.guitarworld.com/sites/future.p2...n_postrehab.jpg Edited June 8, 2007 by j2fast

Calamity Jane
Aint worth the price to park if they don't do this one!!! THAT IS JUST PLAIN WRONG!!! When I saw that I said to myself that's not David Lee! It's like some weird parody of David Lee Roth. I've got to go plug my head into my IPOD to wash that vision out of my head.
