Blood Diamond

The wife and I saw Blood Diamond tonight. Good flick. Leo DiCaprio was really impressive and Jennifer Connelly was okay, too. The cinematogrophy impressed me quite a bit. The numerous battle scenes were very chaotic and they captured it very well.

There certainly is a political message with the film, but the story, acting and imagry still makes it a worthwile coulple of hours in the cinema.

It is an EXCELLENT movie. Having spent about 3 years in Africa, I can say it is a VERY good depiction of the real Africa. It is a great place, but not what we as westerners expect.

Personally , I like 3rd world countries

I just watched this movie again tonight.

Damn! What a great movie.

DeCaprio did a really good job (I never liked him before but he converted me with this performance), and I was impressed with his gun handling (for a hollywood guy)

Killer movie - worth the purchase and the time to watch it again.
