LPatterson Posted August 7, 2007 Share Posted August 7, 2007 The Montana constitution follows the US constitution in the right to bear arms openly outside towns & established logging camps but leaves out concealed carry as a basic right. Montana is a shall issue state & unless there is something criminal in a persons record must issue a license within 60 days of application. But Montana also requires some sort of proof of firearms instruction, this was added to allow for reciprocity with other state's requirements.
