maduce
Tiger Valley is looking at hosting another one day 10 stage 3-gun match. Any suggestions on a date that would not conflict with planned matches? I would like to put it before one of the larger matches and act as a train-up. We are feeding everyone lunch during the match to keep things rolling and plan on a low light stage in the shoot house. We also have a new shooting platform and plan on running three shotgun stages at one time, all steel, all elevated and fast.

maduce
thanks for the post. It looks like we will have one the first part of April.
lmccrock
Superstition Mountain (ending Apr 1) will draw even from central Texas, so there will be some contingent there, and they may be less likely to follow up with a match right away, even a very good one. Also keep in mind a couple of big USPSA pistol matches, Double Tap in Wichita Falls on Mar 23-25 and Space City on Apr 20-22. Lee
Merlin Orr
All of the CC, TX group will be at SSM the first weekend on April. I REALLY hate to miss one of your matches......
bigbrowndog
M2......I think late Feb. or early Mar. would be better, First weekend in Mar, is Pharr Tx. Steel Challenge, but second and third weekend are open, and would make a good tune up, for SMMG. trapr

Fullauto_Shooter
Never shot one of your 3 Gun matches, but plan to attend this one if the dates work out. Late FEB would be good for me personally - early MAR not so much (Son graduating AF basic training on the first weekend in MAR). Hope to see you at the range. Fullauto_Shooter
17 FEB should work out fine for me - I plan on being there. Do we need to pre-register or just show up, pay and shoot? Also, how far out do you guys typically shoot rifles (pretty far from what I've heard)?
bigbrowndog
Full auto, know your zero/trajectory out to 400 and there won't be any suprises. Generally 300, will do just fine. Trapr

maduce
I picked up 2 five gallon buckets of .223 brass on the tank buster stage at the last match. Do you guys think that stage was to much?
Merlin Orr
I picked up 2 five gallon buckets of .223 brass on the tank buster stage at the last match. Do you guys think that stage was to much? OH NO! That was one damned fine (fun) stage! That is the only time I can remember wanting to have a belt fed AR....
lmccrock
Do you guys think that stage was to much? Nope. Just need to know our zeros. Some range conditions made it tough, like the changing light making some targets invisible. I think you moved the targets around to make them visible, but it is something to keep in mind. Ideally, everybody is presented the same challenge equally. I think that was the stage where Bpowe's rifle went single shot. He still beat most of those guys. And me, as I recall. Make it clear on such stages what the penalties are for missing a target. At some point, it hurts worse to keep shooting. Of course, some of us are ornery and just want them steel DOWN. M118LR
I also agree it was a good stage. I like the props.
Fullauto_Shooter
Wanted to bump this back up and ask a couple questions. Do we need to pre-register for this or just show up and shoot? If pre-registration is required, what are the match fees and where do we send them? Also, just to verify - this is definitely a GO for Saturday, 17 FEB? Thanks, Doug J. bpowe
TJ, how's match planning going? Have you got any approximate round counts for us? (other than lots and lots). Will we see the evil paint gun again? Is 300 yds max range for rifle again or will I have to find a range with more yardage to check my zeros? Inquiring minds want to know (I know I'll be bringing my beta again!) bill
