Want A Tough Cell Phone

OK---since we have cell phone threads going, I'm in the market for a new one.

TOUGH/DURABLE I'm hard on the things.

Good volume Ringer/speaker/etc. I work in a noisy, dirty, dusty environment.

The usual cause of death is killing the magnets in the speaker with fine airborne

metal dust. I've kept a Kyocera 2135 on life support for a couple of years by

changing out the speaker every couple of months. The Kyocera is the only phone I've

found so far that works reliably from down in the pit at the range, so:

Good reliable operation in low signal areas.

Camera would be OK

Ability to hot-sync my contact list to/from my desktop would be a big plus

Bluetooth, MP3, conference are WAY down the list---clear off the bottom!

Had good luck with Verizon, although Cingular is coming on strong in my area.
