Pensfan
I think I have settled on the following load for my CZ SP-01 9mm in Production Class competition shooting. Of course I have to run a few hundred rounds through my particular firearm to see how it actually performs, but that is another matter. Zero 9mm 124gr FMJ bullets over 4.0gr of Tite Group with Federal 100 Primers = should be around 1050fps = 130 PF Now I have found a good source for the Zero bullets from Angus' website, and brass from Brassman.com. Now I just need to find the best prices on the powder and primers. Any help out there? Thanks!
Viggen
Your best bet is likely to look around locally and see what prices are there.
1911user
I have been very satisfied with several orders through powder valley and the pricing is good. Each order shipped the day after placing it. Edited December 19, 2006 by 1911user
yoshidaex
+1 for Powder Valley. Good prices and they charge a single hazmat fee for a 48 lbs order IIRC. Get a order going with a few friends to spread the shipping and hazmat fees and you should be good to go.
Lee Bell
I have been very satisfied with several orders through powder valley and the pricing is good. Each order shipped the day after placing it. I've purchased primers, bullets and powder from Powder Valley. I have to say that I've always been pleased with their prices and their service. Only once have they been unable to ship what I wanted immediately and, on that one occasion, they shipped a more expensive brand rather than make me wait for them to get the one I ordered in. The only bad thing I have to say about them is that they don't seem to stock the cast bullets I need for my .45, forcing me to look elsewhere . . . which I'd better do soon if I want to shoot over the next month or so. Pensfan
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Powder Valley looks great! I think I will have to get some friends together to grab some supplies and break up those HazMat fees for sure. They don't carry the TiteGroup powder I was planning on using, so what would you guys recommend next? I was looking at Win 231 as my secondary choice. What do you think? Thanks! 1911user
They show titegroup available for $12.75 a pound or $94 a keg. It's under Hogdon toward the bottom. I use 231 for 45auto. My 9mm plinking loads are whatever pistol powder that needs to be used up at the time. Edited December 19, 2006 by 1911user
Pensfan
Cool... Thanks 1911user! I just skimmed the Hogdon list so fast I missed it. Next step is to find a local place and see what paying retail & taxes is vs Hazmat and shipping. Thanks for all the help everyone.

I use Bullseye for everythink I can, mostly because it tends to be available locally. Some of the shotgun powders are also good for pistols and, at least in South Florida, shotgun reloading supplies tend to be available more often than pistol loading supplies. I don't recommend buying powder, primers or bullets on line unless you have no choice. The shipping and hazmat charges tend to make them more expensive than the same things purchased locally. I've been able to get Bullseye powder locally. I recently purchased two 4 lb containers for $65 each. That's as cheap or cheaper than what I saw it on line for before adding hazmat and shipping. I've not been able to get particularly good prices on primers locally. When I buy bulk, I buy on line and eat the shipping and hazmat charges. I've been able to match the net online prices at at least one gun shop, but I have to get them when they have them. They don't have much of a selection. I've had no luck with bullets. I buy them on line or by phone. In fact, I ordered another 12,000 last week. I may save myself the shipping by spending a half a day driving up to get them (Central Florida). I'm considering casting my own, but frankly, I'm not sure I have the time to cast enough of them to keep up with my reloading and shooting. Two, or even six bullet molds would not seem to be what I'd call high volume production. Lee
unclez
I buy my bullets online but usually buy the powder and primers at the gun shows to avoid the haz-mat charge. Zack

XD Niner
Another very happy Powder Valley customer here. I ordered 10K of primers this past Sunday (no local suppliers) and it arrived last night (Wednesday) at my door. The Zero bullets I ordered from them at the same time showed up the previous day.
