dirtypool40
I was gifted a C/P ramped .40 barrel and I have a Springer .40 with a loose ass factory barrel. Is there a way to flatten that C/P ramp into a W/N ramp?
BEDELLCUSTOM
yes, I've done it many times. you have to remove .100" from the back of the curved c/p lug by machining it flat and you now have a n/w lug. just be sure to set it up square and level for the cut. benny hill
When you make the cut be sure & put a radius at the point where it comes into the ramp part of the barrel so you won't have a sharp edge there & start a crack in the lugs.
BEDELLCUSTOM
thanks Benny I forgot to add that . To put the radius in you can simply use a small round file or I just change the position of the barrel in the mill and cut the radius with a small ball endmill. blkbrd
Remind me and I can show you what it looks like with my limited gun. From the sound of it you should give Dan or Benny some work. Unless Paul has been faster than me at buying a mill?
