rooster cogburn
Which 1911-9mm is perferred for shooting ESP class. What are some of the wide body guns and what are the downfalls of them? Edited December 13, 2006 by rooster cogburn
Jim Watson
Springfields are the least expensive and the most common. Some complaints about slowfire accuracy. Kimbers are a little nicer made. The few I have seen had conventional extractors and gave little to no trouble. STI Trojan has a great reputation but I have seen few around here all in .45. Me? I shoot a Colt. Aircooled6racer
Hello: You may also look at the STI Eagle as well. You may also look at 40 S&W if you reload. It is softer than factory 9mm with 155 grain bullets. The Kimbers work well and so do the Springfields around here. Hope this helps. Thanks Eric
Joe D
If you are going to shoot ESP and don't mind using 9 round mags then you have several choices - 9mm, .40 and .45ACP. If you want 10 round mags then you are stuck with 9mm and .40. Yes there are 10 round .40 mags that will fit into the box.
