jdk62738super Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 the last couple matehes my sti 40 was having problems going into battery. racked the slide and the next round would go in. took the gun apart , noticed the 2 piece guide rod was loose. after further inspection noticed that the inside of the frame where the back of the guide rod fits was all mared up. also noticer that the top edges of the feed ramp had some rough edges. would a loose guide rod cause this problem. chamder checked all rounds, no problems.
