2#trigger
Can anybody direct me to an illustration or example of the correct procedure to take apart 2011 mags? I'm making the jump from Glock to my new 2011 and I read a lot about correct cleaning and care of the mags. Any pics or help would be appreciated. hitman
Press in the down star that is on the bottom and slide forward the base pad. Point away from your face when you do this, if you lose control of the spring you may lose something else.
unclez
Basically the same as your Glock except a lot easier.

2#trigger
buy Dawson base pads and it becomes massively easier. Thanks all for the help. They do come apart very easy and I didn't mess anything up in the learning process. What makes the Dawson ones easier? I got mine from them but they have the "star" base on them even though they are "tuned" by Dave.

They have One intergal slide that is easy, tool-less, and ingenious. They add 1 or 2 rds. They are expensive is the only negative. I would think a tuned mag would have them installed? www.dawsonprecision.com
