Tom Mainus
We are in the height of gun deer hunting here in WI. Went out with my Dad this morning on what used to be our land on the family farm. Probably the last year we will be able to hunt. At 6:30 am my S&W 629 barked out and down went a little nubbie buck. Pretty small but I will have venison in the freezer now, Dad helped me get it taken care of. Dad is 70 and in great shape, just fun to be in the woods with him. Fast forward a couple of hours, Temps were supposed to hit 60 today, couple of phone calls and we had a group going for probably our last ride of the season on the Harleys. Not a lot of miles but any miles in Nov around here are good miles. So to sum it up, got my deer, went for a ride on the bike and got to listen to some X-mas tunes while on the bike, that was a first, had some beers with some good friends. Today was a good day

Nate
Before my dad passsed we would meet in Roscoe Montana and he would take a short walk with me hunting and then go fishing. One morning we got up early and drove to a spot that over looked a great little feeding spot. I sat him at one end and I sat at the other and told him to give me a whistle if he saw anything. The sun comes up and nothing worth shooting on my end so I go over to his side and he is leaning up against a tree sound asleep. I went back and sat down until he awakened and walked over. I never asked him if he saw anything and he did not mention being asleep. A great memory. Glad you had a good time. Soak it up. Nate
