Billmanweh
I'd like a shot timer, it will only be used at home for dry fire practice and at an outdoor range when practicing alone. Reliable, simple and easy to use are my biggest priorities. Which of the two would you suggest?
XD Niner
Either one will easily fit your needs. I've had an 8000 for about two years and been very happy with it. It has all the capability I need and has been 100% reliable. I put it on my belt for practice which works just fine. I like its large readout. That said, if I were buying again, I would go with the 7000. It is smaller and a few dollars less. Either way, you'll end up with an outstanding timer.
