unclez
I know that kydex is pretty rough on blued guns but how does the hard chrome stand up to it?
Bird_Dog0347
So far so good on my gun, it shows very little wear on the gun in the usual spots. I use a STI and a comp-tac holster for IDPA.
HSMITH
Depends on the dust in your area, how clean you keep the holster and the gun, etc. In general you will be able to see the marks, but you will have to look for them. I used an STI in a Blade Tech for one season, and you can see the marks from it, but it is pretty minor.
unclez
Thanks guys. Man I hate to start scratching up a $1800. pistol. I may have to think hard on a Ghost or similar holster. Zack
rubberneck
Between dry firing and matches I probably have a couple thousand draws and reholsterings on my hard chromed 1911 and it looks loke it did the day I got the gun from Tripp. There is nothing out there that is the equal of a good chrome job.
