Smokey
I admit that I was a bastard and didn't clean my AR for a week but I didn't expect to find this blue crystaline stuff on the baffles of my comp when I pulled it out of the safe this morning!!! Do any of you have any ideas what this is? I reload for it and the only thing that has changed is the powder (trying out Accurate Data Powder 74). I've never had this problem with other powders before and I'm wondering if the DP-74 is at fault? Or maybe I should clean my damn rifle right after I get home!! It's loosened when you cleaned it last time, then when you fired it it's forced out of the barrel. It won't hurt anything.
RiggerJJ
I would definitely suspect the powder. Espcially since that is the only thing you have changed in your reloading. jj
Tom Freeman
Just the copper reacting with your cleaning solvents. No harm.
BSeevers
I just shoot it and then clean it Shooting makes the cleaning easier
