velvetant
Ever since I installed a Bennie Cooley comp on my RRA ar15 it will occasionally bumpfire when I try to do a double tap. It did not do this before the comp was installed. If I shoot slow fire it does not do it. It's a stock single stage trigger at around 5 pounds of pull.. It's been looked at by two gunsmiths and both say the trigger is fine. Please Help Edited September 4, 2006 by velvetant
Bronco
Check your firing pin to confirm there is nothing binding or causing it to stick where it would give you a slam fire. I've had this happen to me with a worn firing pin. Keith

BillL223
I was getting an occasional bump fire with my JP upper and trigger. I checked with JP and when they reviewed my build, they noted that with the aluminum bolt carrier used, I might try a titanium firing pin. I did that and have had no bump fires since.
