John Dunn
The ITRC is Friday. Yesterday I blow the extractor out of the Tubb 2000 (overpressure round, the primer was loose enough to fall out of the case). Gun is fine otherwise. No ones fault but mine. So now I'm switching to the backup gun and have a bunch of reloading to do, as well as verifying zeros, etc. I'm bummed that I don't get to play with the new scope I just put on the Tubb. Bummed that I won't have the same confidence, now. Bummed that I let Sam down. Sucks. The good news is that the backup gun is awesome (GAP .260 AI) and fully capable of winning the match if I ever learn to shoot. The better news is that Sam is the coolest partner in the world. When I told him about my work schedule this week and my concerns about getting the ammo reloaded, he offered to drive 2 hours (one way) to get the gear and do the reloading. Now that's a partner.
