The Field's of Steel match in Old Bridge New Jersey is on for Sept 30th for the pistol format, 7 stages, 200 plus targets of knockdown steel, the same match will be with shotgun on sunday Oct 1st, more info at worldclasssteel.com. The match in 2006 was a great time for all who attended in 2005 and the 2006 match looks to be even better. The staff is looking for ro's and help in setting up on friday starting at 9am,,,,,,

World Class Steel has elected to add pistol caliber ( 9mm, 40 cal. , 45acp) as an approved firearm in the monthly afternoon shotgun match and to the " Fields of Steel" match on October 1st at the Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club. Carbines will have 2 classes to compete in, limited which will allow iron sights or scopes and 10 round mags as per the pistol classes for knockdown steel and open class which will be more than 10 in the mag. This has come about due to the interest in shooting carbines and input from several of our regular competitors. Great venue for those Beretta carbines that were won at our " Speed on Steel " matches thanks to Beretta USA. more info is available on worldclasssteel.com along with the entry forms. WCS would like to thank all those that help in bringing this new class to the match. In keeping with the new carbine class we are trying to give away several of the Hi Point carbies in 9mm at the Field of Steel match. We have found that they are not too readily available. John P, got in touch with the company for the carbines and we are looking at having at least 8 to give away at the pistol match on Sept 30, yep World Class Steel comes thru again with " the match that gives guns away"... thanx John P. for all the hard work on all the matches World Class Steel promotes, another big thatk you goes out to Vinny over at Hunting World Guns and Ammo for all of his dedication to our efforts trying to bring the best darn steel matches to the shooting entusiants out there, thanx for all your support in our efforts also.
