crday
Looking for opinions/interpretations.... A bullet contacts a piece of vegetation on it's way to the target. The bullet hole is in the target, but is oblong, not round. The vegetation in question was not designated as either hard or soft cover in advance. Counts as a hit or not? Bill Nesbitt
I'd call it a hit and tell the shooter to buy a lottery ticket. The rule book says that we should standardize on black as hard cover. If it wasn't specified as hard cover then hits count. I've been to matches where they announced that if the bullet went through a prop then it wasn't hard cover was it? A little steel placed in the right place is good hard cover.
Bones
No interpretation necessary. Page 10, C16 of the 05 Rulebook. Craig
crday
You're exactly correct. It took me a while to find that rule, but it's definately there. We had quite an argument at a match last week. Guess I'll have to start keeping the book in my pocket...;-) And a set of calipers...Hmm, is a 200 gr. SWC turned completely sideways more than .904"? (humor intended..)
