Just wondering what everyone was using for the Area 6. I wished they had included this on the survey at registration, but they didn't, but I would like to know. After working the stage 7 today, I saw a lot of STI's and Glocks, with a few Springfield XD's. Please take a few minutes and list your equipment info.

You can either reply here oe email/PM me. I will give an update in two weeks here. If you know someone who shot this match, please make sure they reply here, the more people who reply, the better the info.

Thanks,

GlockSpeed31

7. After taking about an hour to shoot those two &^%$%#@! Texas Stars on Stage 7, don't drop you mag until you remember to shoot that last itty, bitty plate in the back. :( I bet I had the best double clutch final relaod/shot of the day.

I had a great time with the guys from this forum as well as our other squaed mates. Now if those people in Georgia could just learn to root for a decent college football team. ;)

I'd like to add my thanks to Cindy, Bill, Rosie all the ROs and the rest of the folks that made this such a terrific match. In the words of the Governator, "I will be back!"

GS31,

I just realized you didn't answer your own questions. Wasn't that an XD that you were shooting?

Yep, it was an xd, but highly modified by my Gunsmith (GLOCK) to make it shoot more reliable and accurate :D

Actually, I will update my original post later with my info. Too tired to really answer now.

Ooops! I forgot to add - I liked the stages. I think it was the right mix. The rain sucked. But, such is life. ROs and staff were great. Thanks for all of your help and working so hard in the crappy weather.

Who won the gun?

My head hurts. Must remember to get a sawz-all and raise the top of the doorway in the stats trailer.

How would you rate your experience at this years Area 6 match?

Working stats last year was great, but too isolated for me (they already know all my dumb jokes, anyway). I loved being back out on a stage this year and getting to meet and welcome so many wonderful people and work with an outstanding crew. Plus I was able to shake hands and say hi to sooooo many forum members this year. Working the BIPSC stage (2 TX*s w/ 2 Pepper Poppers) was entertaining beyond description. I got a birds-eye view of so many amazing runs on that stage, I feel like I should have paid a cover charge just to see the show!
