Les Snyder
I broke the front offset pin, connecting my preban lower to a 16in flat top A3 upper. The pin sheared at the smaller threaded boss.... question... is there a better solution than just replacing it with a new Colt pin... thanks in advance... Patrick Sweeney
This is a large-pin lower and small-pin upper? All you can do is find another offset pin. If, on the other hand you have a small-pin lower and a large-pin upper, go to the hardware store and get a bronze bushing. There is a perfect inner and outer diameter bushing that fits in the large hole and bushes it down to the small hole. The bushing will be too long, and you'll have to file it shorter to fit between the lugs of the lower, but once done you're done messing with it for good. Les Snyder
Patrick... thank you for the reply... unfortunately it is the large Colt to smaller upper... do you have a recommendation on sources... Bushmaster has them in the catalog, but dont have a current issue of Brownells at the house to order a Colt.. thanks... Les
DblTap
FWIW, I've had good results with the Bushmaster adapter pin. They go for about $6.
