Vlad
Actually if I remember correctly this was part of a series that made the rounds a while ago, and from what I remember it was not stage. This kid had a one shot handgun made in some absurd caliber, the kind of thing used in large bore african doubles. The rest of the videos showed him having some decent control of the gun, in the sense that it didn't fly from his hands. I just think the older gent had NO idea what he was getting himself into. The guy that owned the gun had posted the videos and a bunch of stats and explanations about the gun on one of the big gun forums a couple of years back. DMH
Thanks to the great folks at S&W we had a "try out" stand at the La Gator Classic this year and everybody who wanted to got to try out everything they make, including the .460 and the .500. They really weren't that bad so I can only imagine the recoil involved in that video clip...
scooterj
DMH, how was the Mountain Gun in .44 Mag?
knightkrawler00
Vlad has it right. IIRC, it was a .400 Nitro Express, downloaded to boot. I've seen the videos of the actual owner shooting it, and holding onto it, but it seems pretty brutal.

HercPilot
If you play it in slow motion you can see it hit the guy in the face. Then you can hear it clatter as it hits the concrete. Double Wow.

splashdown
It seems like I read somewhere that it was a .600 Nitro, but then I have no clue about such calibers. I'll just stick to .40 thank you.
