Has anyone tried the loaded trophy match? What is the quality out of the box for these as far as accuracy and trigger pull? Can the stainless guns be tightened up without going to the accu-rail?

Stainless guns can be tightened up. Evolution Gun Works will weld up the rails and recut them for close to the same cost as a set of Accu-Rails. I had a Springfield done and it's tight now. It runs good too.

I have two in .45 and one in .40. All are carbon steel, and I have had the .45's NP-3'd by Robar...........one has had the barrel replaced and when that was done it slide to frame fit was tightened up. It is real solid. It did not need it, as it ran perfect before that. I was so happy with the first one I bought, that I bought the 2nd one (.45).

I have had the triggers done on both, and installed a Dawson fiber optic front sight, and that is it. I really think for a competition single stack, these are one of the better deals out there.

Once broken in, they have run flawlessly...........I would say they are about 4 years old....the older of the two has about 30,000 rounds thru it.

I have a couple of Springfields that have been worked on. Both are very reliable and accurate. I don't know what the current cost is on the Springfield, but I also have 4 Wilsons that I shoot just the way they came from Wilson. If the price is close check out the Wilson line. Once you buy it the cost is over, no additional work needs to be done.

my long slide trophy match was super tight and accurate out of the box.

although the trigger pull sucked. a buddy had springfield custom shop do a trigger job on his, and it was a improvement over stock, but you would be better off to replace the hammer and sear with higher quality parts.

+1 on the trophy match, mine runs fine out of the box, after about 800 rounds, the trigger job is never a bad idea :)

My Trophy Match came tight and accurate out of the box. I put a 17# mainspring and a lighter sear spring, And the trigger is great.
