randy01 Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Hi, How do I know I have the right amount of crimp? And is it possible to overcrimp the case. I'm uing a 650. Grtz Randy
shred Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 The usual suggestion (for autopistol cartridges) is to only crimp enough to iron out the case mouth bell. Overcrimping can cause accuracy problems and more, especially with plated bullets. If you search around here, there are some threads on measuring crimp as well.
Front Man Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Shred is right but under crimping has severe issues too. FM
