Leupold Scopes

I am functionally retarded when it comes to scopes, so I will rely on the limitless knowledge of the Enosvere....

I need a Leupold VX III 8.5-25x50mm with a fine duplex reticle in Matte finish. What is the best place to order one and how much should I expect to pay? A local shop qouted me a price of about $1100 including high rings and mounts, but that was just the counter guys estimation and not a final sale price.

I got a few good prices and scopes on Ebay. but do you need to rethink the fine duplex? the Leupold target Dot is great.

Thanks guys, I will check out these options.

I also prefer the target dot, however, it isnt really for me. It is for a friend I am going to visit, who cannot get Leupold scopes in his area.

Hey guys, just thought I should add a final note. I was able to order the scope for $782 from Scoptics.com. If anyone is need of scopes I would highly recommend them. They are incredibly cheap with great customer service. I selected the mounts and rings I thought I needed (though I wasnt very confident), and left my cell number in the special remarks area on the order form, less than 2 hours later I got a call saying that the base I selected wasnt right and that they were subsitituting the right ones. Very nice people and sure to get my business again.
