Lowell, Iowa Match

To those who care,

Had a great time today squadding with DougC, RevoMan, and shooting with everyone else at Lowell today. Doug had a sharp eye and saw that I was snapping the trigger on my new gun in the first stage. I had time to stop that and get a decent classifier in. Now I just have to get my sights adjusted better, and cut part of the grip off.

A very friendly bunch. Seemed to be a very easy going group overall. I will have to make a few more matches there, especially the benefit shoot.

Here is the scoop on the two routes to there. In case someone is coming for a shoot in this direction, such as the NW ILL Section.

From the I-80 bridge to Galesburg, to Lowell = 1 Hour 52 Minutes, 120.9 miles.

From Lowell, to Iowa City, I-80 bridge = 2 Hours 18 Minutes, 141.6 miles.

Benefit of the Iowa City route was like you said you could ride the cruise control the whole way. Downside is you get to ride it for an extra 26 minutes.
