YumnaO Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 (edited) Hi When you are standing on the line with your arms at sides what are the rules to this? Do your shoulders have to be relaxed also or can they be tense(by this i mean lifted)? I am aware that your hands are not allowed to touch the gun but can it touch the holster, if you are doing so by not bending your arms but rather lifting your shoulder? Are my knees allowed to be bent when standing on the line?? Thanks any references to the rule book would be greatly appreciated so i am able to understand it better. Edited March 19, 2006 by YumnaO
Loves2Shoot Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Can it be done, yes (depending on the RO), will it help you, no. This has been covered a ton, so searching the forum will net you a lot of input. You can bend your knees.
dirtypool40 Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 There's plenty of versions on this. Some "relaxed" positions are so tense, we refer to it as "IPSC monkey", shoulders hunched, hand hovering an inch from the gun. It's like IDPA guys grabbing the hem of their vest. I don't like it, relaxed is relaxed.
