Tom Mainus Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) I keep having problems with my EZ scoreprogram. I get this message from time to time when I am doing scores. "Ez winscore has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created" Being the computer idiot I am, what is going on? Sometimes it just pops up, but it seems and soon as I go to the classifier report part of the program it will usually come up there for sure. Not everytime but more often than not. Anybody have any ideas? Tom Mainus Edited March 12, 2006 by Tom Mainus
wgnoyes Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 What version of ezws are you running? What operating system are you on? (Win98, XP, 2000, please also include service pack level) What specifically are you doing when this error occurs? Which window do you have open? (The title is at the top) What kind of match are you scoring? Thanks. Bn

I get the error after I have scored the match, and I go to the USPSA reports page to print the classifier pages and activity pages. Sometimes it happens right away and other times it happens while I am just looking over everything. I am scoring our monthly IPSC match. Hope this helps. Tom
wgnoyes Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Does it happen with one particular match file, or with any of them? Your operating system level is perfectly good; that's what I've used in the past to score Area Championships and the Nationals. Possibly you just have a corrupted file or registry component. An uninstall of ezws and reinstall from nothing would most likely fix it. If you choose that path, be sure to copy off your masternames.db file ahead of time so as not to lose your saved shooter names and classifications.
