Losing A Dear Friend

The President of Jonesboro Practical Pistol Shooters. A small club in northeast Arkansas.

The last time I was with Ernie was mid Janurary when we re-elected him President. He was in great spirits, just like every single time I've ever been around him.

Here's what I received:

"It with great sadness I tell you that Ernie Simpson passed away this morning

at 8:18 a.m. As soon as I have further information on arrangements, we will

pass the information on to you."

One heck of a great guy and a dear friend.

It hurts.

John, I'll miss shooting with Ernie. He was fun to be around, and always a gentleman.

As soon as I saw the title in my email box last night, I knew something bad had happened. Seems like it was not that long ago I saw him and he seemed to be the same ole Ernie, I had no idea anything was wrong. He was a great guy and he will be missed.
