Ron Ankeny Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I got my Open gun back from Matt McClearn yesterday and it runs flawlessly. It looks like the problem was a combination of me shooting in bitterly cold weather with some less than stellar ammunition. The problem was on my end all along. I apologized to Matt for putting him through gunsmith hell but Matt told me no apology is required and he is just happy that the problem is solved. Matt paid shipping both ways for an unnecessary repair, and now he won't even take my money for the shipping or the additional tuning that he performed. McClearn is a class act, a great gunmaker, and a super nice guy. On the other hand, I feel like a blooming idiot.
blue edge Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 We love IDIOTS here , Glad all is worked out! now lets go shooting!!!!!!!!!
ChuckS Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Someone once said that you are never too old to find a new way to do something stupid. I prove this correct quite often! Now let's see that GM card in open!
eerw Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Ron..that is great news... I think that is what is called good karma... ooohhhh GM.......can see it now...
Singlestack Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 May you enjoy many blissful matches of trouble-free Open gunning.
schmitz Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 (edited) Ron, my wish for you is to make GM in Open. PS. In the closed topic you use the word "kooks". Did a look up in my Advanced Learner's Dictionary...couldn't find it...please what does it mean Edit: t.e. Edited March 3, 2006 by schmitz
