ArnisAndyz Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Those of you who have one on a flattop AR... Do you set it up to co-witness with the irons? Do you use a riser to set it slightly above the irons (so the irons are visible in the lower part of the EOTech? Or do you remove the front and rear irons completely? How did you set it up and why do you like it that way? Thanks, Andy
Loves2Shoot Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I use flip us sights that co-witness the irons. I have it setup that way because it made the most sense at the time so if the SHTF I could use the irons without having to change the cheek weld. It seems to work ok but I'm no 3-gun expert.
Patrick Sweeney Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Flip-up rear, standard front, (I never see the front sight housing in this kind of setup) no riser so I get a co-witness right in the middle of the viewscreen.
mike_pinto Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I have the Rock River UTE2 with the rail made for the EoTech. I forget the name of the guy (Mark Smith?) that originally designed it, but it is available as a flat top mount. I "V" the rear sight when shooting close up stuff. I am getting a new gas block with flip up front in the near future.
