Bob 2316 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Hello, I'm pretty new to everything about shooting. I've purchased a Beretta 92FS to shoot in production class. Beretta, on their website offers a larger mag release button. Can I install this and still be production class legal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
ihatepickles Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Is the larger mag release offered on any of Beretta's pistols as a stock item? If Beretta offers the larger mag release on a different pistol and that other pistol is Production class legal, then you can add it to your 92FS. A call to Beretta would help you find out what pistols that larger release is shipped pre-installed.
splashdown Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 (edited) Are you talking about the one they call "92/96 Series Oversize Mag Button" offered in grey and black. It is knurled and extended in length. It is production legal since it is offered as a stock part on the 92/96 Stock which is approved for production div. BTW: Don't think twice about getting it. It's my favorite mag button for the Beretta. Edited March 3, 2006 by splashdown
Steve Moneypenny Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I have one of the bellinnium buttons it's awesome would reccomend it to any production shooter!
peashooter Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 I had one on one of my Berettas. Took it off and sold it. I found, for me, that my reloads were faster by simply re-installing my mag release to the right side. Like I said, it worked for me. Might want to try it before spending the money.
