Crusher Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 Thanks FLex, but I was looking for the scores, I guess we will have to wait untill they are posted (whenever that may be). I think it was AREA 7 website (you know th USPSA guys) that were kind enough to first post the 2005 results well in advance of IDPA websight and some regional websights.
Duane Thomas Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 No...but reports are: SSP 1. Phil Strader 2. E. Langdon 3. Dave S. Dave Sevigny didn't win SSP? My God, the sky is falling....
Kevin Kline Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Tell me about it Duane! I would say upset, but Phil and Ernest are no slouch/upsets. That must have been a helluva match, wouldve love'd to watch that one.

Patrick Sweeney Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Yes, a tough match. They should have had more fire extinguishers on hand, from all the crashing and burning we did. I don't know that I heard a single shooter say "Yea, I shot alright, just according to plan." I mean, listening to the scores being called out; "Zero, one, Zero, one, .....nine" was not rare.
David Olhasso Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Scores at http://www.uspsa7.org/els/swidpa2006.htm
gmshtr Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Make no mistake, Dave is still the man...just the man who had a bad weekend. When he was on, we were all just standing there with our mouths open. Todd did some pretty amazing stuff, too. I'm sure Dave will be looking to exact some revenge in Standard at the Double Tap! Should be fun! PHil
SRT Driver Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Looks like Julie had a bad weekend too..lots O' points down!!!????
Ben Stoeger Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Davo O, Nice shooting man! What were you using? I am guessing a vertec with one of your magwells?
Kevin Kline Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 (edited) Nice shooting David Olhasso. You were only 2.5 seconds off of Todd from winning it all. Nice job. Edited March 2, 2006 by Kevin
txaggie Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 WOW - 25 SSP masters!!! Actually, all classes had a lot of MA class shooters, looks like a fun match.
Keith Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Yes, a tough match. They should have had more fire extinguishers on hand, from all the crashing and burning we did. I don't know that I heard a single shooter say "Yea, I shot alright, just according to plan." I mean, listening to the scores being called out; "Zero, one, Zero, one, .....nine" was not rare. Patrick, Which wheelie did you use for this match?
Patrick Sweeney Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I shot a 4" nickel S&W M-19. Old school. I wore a Harris tweed jacket as my cover garment (no tac vest for me, thank you very much) and packed the gun and CompIII speedloaders in Blade-Tech gear. Cor-bon Performance .38 Special ammo. On the lights-out stage with shooters sitting in the boat, I got all tangled up with gear, light, jacket and had an empty get under the extractor star. What should have been a 25 second run ended up as a 55 second run. That and a couple of other bonehead errors cost me 55-60 seconds in the match. But I was not alone. As I mentioned, I did not hear a single shooter talk about how well the match was going for them. A witch docter could have done a land-office business, improving shooters ju-ju.

ProPistols Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 (edited) Patrick, I must say you were indeed dressed for style. I'm one of the FedUp crew at stage 9. Yes folks Patrick actually wore tweed, looked great and shot impressively! It was a very difficult match. I personally had the highest cuss per round count as I too was having a rough match. Me, my crew and the rest of the SOs shot on Wed prior to the competitors and had a good time. The Boat stage designer is a friend of mine and I can tell you that was my favorite stage of the match! Having such a rough shooting day, I started to laugh hysterically when the boat started to move. Finally the SO gave me a choice word or two and reminded me to shoot. It was my last stage of the day and was the perfect ending to a hard, long match. I can honestly S&W WCs are the best match of the year and if you ever get a chance to shoot it, do it! You won't regret it! Edited March 4, 2006 by ProPistols
Bones Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 John & Neil, Thanks. It's truly an honor to compete at the WCs. 37 revolver shooters this year - welcome to the REVOlution! Who says you can't compete with Comp IIs and a 3" Model 10? The match had highs and lows but overall was the best WC I can recall. I was as surprised as anyone how things came out - went home Wednesday after finishing set-up and shooting with the SOs and thought I tanked it. The best part was having Jerry Biggs sign my card at the Banquet - what an honor - he is a great guy and an awesome competitor - just like Brent Stone, Bob Powell, Mssrs. Sweeney, Gordon, Palka... - work your way through the list - all great shooters. It wouldn't happen without Peg Cowell, Pete Goloski, Sam Knight & crew, Tom Gordon, Jeff Whitehouse and our AWESOME SO team. See you all at the CT State Championships in Oct, Craig S&W Model 10 - the ORIGINAL M&P
