cottyw Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I have been waiting for a while now to get a stock. Does anyone know a place that has them in stock? Will
smokshwn Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Give Alice a call at Tac Pro Shooting Center. Tac Pro Good luck, Craig
cottyw Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) Thanks, I gave her a call and she said I could get on their waiting list. I am already on a waiting list so I will keep trying to find a stock. Will Edited February 27, 2006 by cottyw
smokshwn Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 They also pop up now and again over on www.snipershide.com. The only problem is that since they have been in short supply they usually go at a premium. Take care, Craig
tewlman Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 i talked to Alice at shotshow and she explained to me that production of the the AICS has been moved here to the US and that for the next few months supply would be limited till their backlog of orders gets filled. after that they should be readily available. hang tight! Just for clarity, the complete rifles will still be made in the UK, only the aftermarket chassis was moved stateside. Steve
n2ipsc Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 ...production of the the AICS has been moved here to the US... Wonder if they'll start making units for us southpaws...sigh...
cottyw Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 I moved my order from Impact to Tac Pro. Tac Pro seemed more interested and have a better understanding of what they are doing.
Bret Heidkamp Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I will have an AICS 1.5 for sale shortly. Green skins, great condition. As soon as my A-5 replacement gets here, it will be on the classifieds.
cottyw Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 (edited) Alice at Tac-Pro is awesome!! I got my stock the other day and I love it. They are a great company with a lot of integrity. They also gave me a little break for being military. My advice to everyone who wants an Accuracy International rifle or stock is to buy it from them. http://www.tacproshootingcenter.com/ Will Edited May 6, 2006 by cottyw
M118LR Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 (edited) I will second that. Alice and Bill are a class act. If you need any type of Accuracy International items make sure and check out TacPro first. Edited May 7, 2006 by M118LR
n2ipsc Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I'd be interested to hear whether anyone's ever successfully modified one to take a left-handed action. On casual observation, it appears that a recess for a LH bolt handle could easily be cut/milled into the unit. Of course, there'd be an ugly leftover on the RH side, but... M118LR Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I'd be interested to hear whether anyone's ever successfully modified one to take a left-handed action. A company called HD Rifles (no longer in business) had worked on a prototype for a left hand action. I saw a few pictures of the stock and they did a great job of converting it. They milled out the left side of the stock and filled in the other side. They were going to charge like 2 hundred dollars to have it done on. It was a project the company started on, but they never did get it off the ground. Who knows if they would have sold any.
