kellyn
Pretty good list so far but missing some essentials: Anything by Akira Kurasowa especially The Seven Samurai. Sanjuro, Yojimbo, Throne of Blood, and Ran are particularly good. Anything by Sam Peckinpah especially The Wild Bunch - arguably the best western ever. 38supPat
Holy crap DT Is there any movies made that didn't make your list? Just kidding. I'm seein' some chick flicks in there, did your girlfriend influence you or are you just a sensitive guy? Seeing Fried Green Tomatoes listed right beside Full Metal Jacket looks pretty funny! Duane Thomas
Kyle: Well actually I could if you really wanted it. Pat: Nah, I'm just a sensitive 21st Century type guy. Brian: Sssssss is a surprisingly well-done low-budget horror movie starring Strother Martin and Dirk Benedict, the guy who's best known for playing Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica. Martin plays a mad scientist/herpatologist who's trying to develop a method of turning a man into a snake. Benedict gets involved with the doctor's daughter. It's a lot better than it sounds. The ending is vicious.
Flexmoney
DT, Just kidding. Please don't list them chronologically. I would then have to check them to make sure they were all in the right order. benos
I'm with you Duane, I saw it. But, I forgot I saw it. It's definitely in there as a classic cult horror movie. What did you think of Mars Attacks? be
38supPat
If you like Tim Burton's movies Mars Attacks is a classic spoof. If you don't or have no sense of humor it may seem wierd. Pat
Duane Thomas
I never saw Mars Attacks (now that you mention it, I'll have to do it) though there was a 4-issue comic book mini-series put out by Image Comics in conjunction with the movie. It was called Mars Attacks Image, had the Martian invaders attacking a world with all the Image super-heroes on it, and was really pretty good. Chriss Grube
Nik, When do you find time to shoot? Last movie I watched was traffic because the wife finally had a Friday night off and she wanted to see it. I did watch bits and pieces of DUDE WHERE'S MY CAR. The PCO had it on at work the other night. Got love the aliens in that one. Now if they would only kidnap me for about a week!

Nik Habicht
Chriss, Finding time to shoot and watch movies is easy ----- when your "career" consists of a parttime job as a newspaper photographer/digital imager. It's only tough now because I'm still trying to unpack, hire contractors, paint, etc. etc. And I've been a movie buff for the last ten years, I've been shooting for four and seriously shooting for less than two years. Duane, I printed your list for future reference --- we agree on many obscure movies, so I'm curious to check out some of the other films on your list.
