Welcome!

Where in PA are you located? There are a lot of great clubs to go check out like Ike's in York and South Chester. You'll find that most club's members will be very open and helpfull about what steps to take and what not to take. It'll save you a lot of money in mistakes!

You'll also obviously find a lot of great info here as well!

Depending what type of gun you may be interested in, there are a ton that can be used in our sport. For a good cross section, you may look at STI's website to start. stiguns.com

those guns are great but expensive. i just want a rimfire pistol that i can be competitive with. i live in levittown PA. like 45 min outside philly.

Unfortunately for IPSC and IDPA, centerfire guns are required to compete. I'm not as familiar with other sports but you may look into Bullseye if you want to stick with a rimfire.

Keep in mind that you can go production with a Glock and a basic setup for not much money up front. Keeping your eyes and ears open will often yield a bargain.
