Merlin Orr
I recently picked up an S_I grip that is a little (read ground through) thin at the front of the grip area where the little built in magwell joins the main body of the grip. I need to "weld it" to join the ground out area back together. The area needing the material put back in is a hairline across but as wide as the front of the grip. Good shape other than this problem. I would really like to do it myself rather than send it to a pro. Suggestions.?, preferable helpful..?
Larry White
Merlin, epoxy. Put some masking tape inside the grip to keep the stuff where you want it. Fill damaged area with a two part epoxy, shape and texture to your likeing. Let it dry, remove the tape and clean up the inside. Paint if you wish. Glad you made it home OK, see you sat morning.-------Larry Edited February 15, 2006 by lkytx
