i am looking at buying one of two rifles as a project gun. the first gun that i am looking at is the remington modle 700p tws ( tatical weapon system) in 308 which is a great gun but i cant find out any information on the price. the secon rifle that i am looking at is the tikka t3 tatical which is also a good gun and comes as almost a compleat package for a round $1100. now i have been looking into what is avalible for both guns and i can get alot more stuff the the remington than i can for the tikka. im just wandering what to do.

now my second question is what scope should i go with. i am mainly looking at the zeiss conquest in either the 4.5-14X44 or the zeiss conquest 6.5-20X50 the first one cost alittle over 600 and the second over 800 do u think i would be better off goin with the second? and what ammo should i shot. im getting this rifle as something that will be really acurrate!!! not to say that it will be as acurrate as my styer half in groups at 100 yards baby how u like that that son of a bitch is sweet. any way im mainly a hunter and know alot about diff types of projectiles for hunting but i dont know which type is best of just shooting and what gain weight should i shoot i have heard alot about the 165 and the 162 but i have also hear that with the rate of twist being 1in 11 that i should shoot a 150 to get the best acurrcy? please help

Reb,

For more info than you would ever wish to know about buying or building an accurate .308 head on over toSnipershide . You can do a few searches and have at least 3 or four days of reading material that will answer every question you could possibly come up with.

Take care, Craig
