hdgun
has any one done any chrono work with factory 45cal in a revo 4" or 5" Looking for a factory major load for 625 revo. shooting indoor matches with lead kinda sucks. I really dont want to buy componants to load, I have a 610 comming real soon so I might go 40 for the season.
AikiDale
With 230 grain bullets you need just shy of 718 fps to make major. I doubt there is a factory load out there that doesn't make major.
RogerT
Hi. I tested Sellier&Bellot 230 gn FMJ ammo and got PF 193 im my 625 5". Shoots well at 50 yd too, I get 2-3 inch groups with occasional fliers outside the group. I'm not sure if it's the ammo or my eyes (steel sights and supported shooting position) that's the cause of the fliers. Anyhow, it's pleasant to shoot 200 rounds a day in a match, recoil or dirt is not a problem.
revchuck
I think that all of them will easily make the PF. My personal favorite is Federal American Eagle, because I find it's usually the most accurate and I like Federal brass. I've had problems with getting Blazer into and out of moon clips. That was about 15 years ago, though, so it might be worth a try again.
hdgun
To be honest, I dont think I have ever bought a box of factory stuff in my life. I have always reloaded. O K, I guess my next question would be is: Which one is closest to 165-170PF?
