Dang It Dan
Ok, I'm slow.....mentally not how I shoot, that is. But I have read the rules for the 1911 class and then I had a friend read the rules of the 1911 class and I still don't know if .40 S&W is considered a major caliber. They say 10mm (.40) but is that .40 S&W? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks in advance. Dang it.
XRe
Yes - but you can only load 8 rounds in the mags. If you load 9 rounds, bammo - instant minor.
AikiDale
Yes and No. 40 can be either. If it makes major, i.e., 165pf or better it is major. If it is between 125 and 164.99 it is minor. The difference is how many rounds you may have in the mag: Minimum bullet caliber for major power factor 10mm (.400”) Maximum Magazine Capacity at start signal: Major power factor 8 Minor power factor 10 Hope this helps! XRe
Minor power factor 10 But you'll only fit 9 in mags that will fit in the box w/ the pistol If you're going to shoot minor in SSD, shoot a 9mm or .38 Super so you can get 10 rounds...
