Greg Jones
Just curious if the 1100 Competition Master is back in production? The reason I ask is a local (Columbus, OH) dealer is advertising 6 of them available at $699 each. 3-4 months ago I tried to buy one at the same store and they could not even locate one through their distributors. I've since bought a SX2 Practical so I'm not interested in one now, but the price seems very competitive.

Remington has some new "tactical" semi autos for 2006, however these are not listed on the website. I can provide specifics when I get to the office in the AM...look for a lot of new items post SHOT SHOW (starts Feb 9).
Middle Man
Two new Remington 1100's for 2006 Remi#6435 1100 Tactical 12ga 18" Speedfeed SFIV, Beadsights, 2RD mag extension, OD Green finish This gun appears to be a 2006 SHOT SHOW special very similar to the OD green 870 with Speedfeed stocks they did in 2005. Remi#6437 1100 Tactical 12ga 22" Vent-rib barrel, Remchoke, 4RD mag extension This gun is probably intended to replace the 1100CM, as it has very similar features but will be less expensive with less competition specific bells and whistles that will appeal to a broader market. Yes, Remington had an 1100 Tactical #26437 at the SHOT Show. It appears to be the same gun as the CM except the stock is black synthetic and the metal is coated OD green. It has the same 22" ribbed barrel, sights, Rem chokes, extended bolt handle, extended mag tube and extended carrier release as the CM. It's in their new catalog. Dave Berryhill
How much was it? Sorry, I didn't get the price. The other good news is that Remington is going to install the extended carrier release on some of their other competition shotguns (trap, skeet, etc.) so it will be more widely available later this year. norbs007
How much was it? The MSRP was actually printed on the card. I believe it's $759 for the 1100 and it is exactly the same as the CM with a different color and a drilled and tapped receiver. I took a picture of them but don't know if I can post it here. Religious Shooter
Remington updated their website. http://www.remington.com/products/firearms...al_shotguns.asp http://www.remington.com/products/firearms...otgun_specs.asp They currently have screwed up and conflicting descriptions for the 1100's... I'm gonna email them. At least there is still a good entry level auto that's basically good-to-go out there for under $7-800.

Carl Provan
I just last week shot one and turned around and bought it. Nice shooting shotgun. The follower release is the extended verision from the CM. Mine works fine as is. I like the Hivis front sight with one small beed on the rib. It is 4" shorter than my old standard shotgun. Hurry up shooting season........
