Carlos
NOT coming to a gun-shop near you (not a civilian one anyway). South African 20 mike mike rifle for those really long MOR stages. http://club.guns.ru/eng/ntw20.html
Chills1994
Barret is working on a 20 mike mike also. Also, not for us silly-villians, either.
GeorgeInNePa
Depending on what state you live in, you too can have a 20mm. It's a $200 tax stamp from the ATF. They are classified as a Destructive Device.

Huston in Austin
Why design a new 20mm rifle? There were two designs used during WW2. The Finnish Lahti and the Swiss Solothurn S18-1000. Both were Mag fed semi-auto's and accurate at long distance. Huston in Austin

tightloop
They are interesting to shoot....Have shot a 20mm bolt gun built by a guy in Texas City, thought about building one, but ammo was the problem... takes a hell of a berm to stop one... Carlos
Ever since I first saw a Lahti 20mm for sale at a gun show, I have always thought of it as the ultimate "small arm". I think it was $2000 back in 1984 - at the gunshow was actually in Baltimore City! - too cool though; stainless muzzle brake, wood barrel jacket, skis, and this is the best part - many of them were full auto. Here is a pic of one that has been butchered (demilled): Edited February 9, 2006 by Carlos
Matt Cheely
I seem to recall the one my father shot was about $30 a shell.

tightloop
Truthfully, there would be a good bit of luck for ME to hit a standard sized tomato at 500 yrs off the bench once in three shots....and that would be after sighting in for 500....
