bberkley
One of the local roads (Boston Mill Road) that serves as an access road to get to our club has had flooded farmer's fields along side, some have actually flowed over the road. Most of this is due to the mill race gates being closed to prevent flooding of the Old Boston Mill (which the state now owns as a Historic Site). With the mill race gates open, it allows the fields to drain. Driving to the club is like a ribbon of asphalt bisecting a lake. We had some minor flooding Thursday and Friday as the Willamette broke flood stage in Corvallis and Albany. I'm ready for some sun and dry weather. shred
We had some mysterious wet substance fall from the air today here in Texas. First time in months and it messed up a perfectly good practice day. At least it'll stop the weatherettes from trying to think up new synonyms for 'drought' for the next few days. SiG Lady
In Oregon: It finally more-or-less quit raining a bit. Mostly it's been really hard on the paved infrastructure. However, toward the last, it began to do the houses-sliding-off-hillsides number in places in Washington, and I'm sure that was disconcerting to a few folks who built in nutty, steep places. Noah's been given a slight reprieve.
