Flyin40
Heres some pics of a Marvel unit with a modified scope base. The base was drilled and tapped to allow you to switch top(scope base mount or iron sight) without taking the scope off to mount the other top. Now I am able to switch from irons sights or a red dot quickly and easily. It is pictured with my limited gun bottom end so I don't have to worry about rezeroing my open gun. Plus I just switch top ends and I'm shooting limited. The C-more sits back a bit to allow you to get to the screws on the base. I forgot who I bought the base from. The mount was already drilled and tapped when I received it last yr. Whoever it was can speak up and take credit. I'm anxious to try this out. Hopefully tomorrow before work. I just added the compensator to it recently to add more weight out front to make it feel more like my open gun. The comp added 3oz out front. shred
Do you know what's different from the normal Unit 1 Ltd/scope rails? I don't have mine handy to compare, but it looks similar from the pics. I like the look of the C-more mounted way back like that-- I'll have to try it on my Marvel. If you use the scope base to mount your sight on you know what a pain it is to take off the scope just to get to the screws so you can practice iron sights with the 22. All that was done to the orignial scope base was two holes were drilled and tapped futher back for a C-more. On the second photo you can see that 3rd screw that is closest to the C-more. This screw is usually covered up. It makes it real simple. It was a great idea and just wanted to share. diehli
Cool. I wanted to do that, but have it mounted with the rear of the C-More at the rear of the slide. It looks like that's a possibility and you'd end up using the front hole of the C-More with the C-More's rear hanging off the back a little bit. It appears that Marvel has released both a long slide and a Commander-length version of the Unit 1. Sweet.

Flyin40 Cool idea.. mine normally runs an Aimpoint and I suffer with fiddling an allen wrench in there.. this looks much easier.
